UNOOSA is Organising a Spotlight Session on International Youth Day

The United Nations Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth is hosting the Youth Lead Innovation Festival. Thus, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) will join in this celebration with a Spotlight Session “Youth reaching the stars”. The session will bring together young innovators in space. 

Spotlight Sessions often aim to foster interactive engagement with young innovators. Likewise, it showcases work and initiatives that aim to support young innovators. In addition, the sessions promote the role of young people as equal partners for implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17SDGs.

UNOOSA enjoins the public to join in and enjoy lively discussions with the various speakers. The speakers include: 

  • Hansley Noruthun, Master of Ceremonies
  • Karina Maria Berber Bruno, Space4Youth Competition 2021 Winner
  • Tara Chklovski, CEO, Technovation
  • Moacir Foncesca, KiboCUBE and DropTES Awardee
  • Alice Rickenberg, UN-SPIDER
  • Hannah Ritchie, Space4Water Portal

In addition, the session will hold on Thursday 12th of August 2021 from 17:15-18:15 CEST
