Planet is hiring a Sales Engineer for the African Region. The position is remote and based in Kenya. The successful candidate will provide the required technical support for business development activities.
- Experience working as a Sales Engineer in sales environments in the region;
- Minimum of six years experience within Earth Observation/ GIS/ geospatial domain; and
- Experience with Python for geospatial applications.
- Great team spirit;
- Ability to understand and follow Planets Sales Process;
- Familiarity with Cloud processing environments like GEE, Sentinel Hub, etc.;
- Understanding of on-premise enterprise Image Serving dynamics;
- Curiosity for new applications;
- Self-driven Pre-sales work;
- Excellent communication skills; and
- Fluency in French and another spoken language in Africa.
